Apollo Valves introduces New ASSE 1070 Individual Lavatory Temperature Controller

MATTHEWS, NC -- Apollo® Valves has introduced a new addition to it’s family of ASSE-certified, temperature controlled mixing valves. The new Apollo® MVD is the smallest of Apollo’s mixing valve line, designed for “point-of-use” applications on sensor-operated or standard sensor-less single fixtures. It is fully compliant with ASSE 1070.
The new MVD “mini-mixer” senses outlet temperature and compensates for fluctuations in incoming hot and cold water temperatures. It provides mixed water temperature control to ± 2˚F, the most accurate in the industry. The valve will shut off in the event of a hot or cold water failure to protect against scalding or thermal shock.
The MVD comes standard with crush-proof removable internal check valves to prevent temperature migration between hot and cold during non-use and a tamper-proof high temperature limit stop. Outlet temperature is easily adjustable by simply turning the new temperature insulated knob with setpoint indicators.
It is designed to limit hot water to a desired temperature between 80°F and 120°F (27°C and 49°C) with flow rates as low as 0.5 gpm (1.9 lpm) and as high as 3.0 gpm (11.3 lpm).
The Apollo MVD is configured with 3/8” compression connections, and comes with cold water fitting for dual temperature controlled lavatories. It is available in standard bronze or optional rough chrome plated finish.
The Apollo MVD features a corrosion-resistant American made ASTM grade cast bronze body and brass internal components. Element over-temperature protection is standard.
