ApolloŽ Valves Earns ISO/IEC 17025:2005 Accreditation For Engineering Laboratory

ApolloŽ Valves has earned ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation for its engineering laboratory in Pageland, S.C. ApolloŽ is the first U.S. valve manufacturer to meet this standard, which many consider to be among the industry's most important for engineering test facilities. The Apollo Valves gage calibration laboratory, also located in Pageland, is ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accredited, as well.

ISO/IEC 17025:2005 is an international standard used to assess technical competency in laboratory management, including testing proficiency, calibration, personnel training, report generation and record keeping.

The accreditation recognizes that Conbraco Industries, Inc., the parent company of Apollo Valves, meets all the requirements of the standard in its engineering laboratory. The company conducts differential pressure testing, thermal testing, hydrostatic pressure testing, strength testing, and vacuum, flow and cycle testing under this accreditation.

"An increasing number of valve buyers want to know that their suppliers operate under strict quality standards," said Executive Vice President Cal Mosack. "This latest accreditation is more proof that our valves are built to the most exacting standards in the industry. Quality is a top priority at Apollo Valves."

In addition to meeting ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standards, Conbraco's manufacturing facilities are also ISO 9001/2000 registered. Other Apollo Valve certifications include ASME, ASSE, IAPMO, CRN, UL and FM. A number of Apollo Valves products are RoHS compliant, as well. The company also produces products conforming to the CE Pressure Equipment Directive.

Conbraco Industries, with its Apollo Valves brand, ranks among the world's largest producers of ball and butterfly valves, pressure-reducing valves, safety relief valves, backflow preventers, actuators and other flow control devices.
